5-a-side football goal

The dimensions and specifications of 5-a-side football goal are usually as follows:

I. Size

Standard size:

Length: 3 metres (3 metres between the two posts)

Height: 2 metres (the lower edge of the crossbar is 2 metres from the ground)

Depth: not less than 80cm above and 100cm above the ground from the inner edge of the goal posts to the outside of the pitch.

Other dimensions:

Different regions or organisations may have slight variations in the dimensions of 5-a-side football goals. For example, there is a view that the dimensions of a 5-a-side football goal are 3.2 metres in width and 2.2 metres in height. However, this size is not a universally accepted standard and may be an adjustment for a particular game or venue.

II. Specification

Material:

5-a-side football goals are usually made of metal materials, such as steel or aluminium alloy, to provide sufficient strength and stability.

Structure:

A 5-a-side football goal consists of two upright rimmed goal posts and a crossbar. The width and thickness of the goal posts and crossbar are usually symmetrically equal and must not exceed a certain limit (e.g. 12cm) to ensure fairness and safety of play.

Ball net:

The net is made of hemp, jute or nylon rope and is hung behind the goal, attached to the goalposts and crossbar. The lower edge of the net should be held in place by bent iron rods or other means of support to properly brace the net and give the goalkeeper room to move.

Installation:

The 5-a-side football goal shall be stably fixed to the field, whether it is a fixed goal or a moveable goal. When installing, it is necessary to ensure that the goal meets the size and specification requirements and that the net is hung.
